Tip #6 – Determining the price of your yearbook:

Make sure your price covers your costs.

Consider any additional costs – additional charges from the publisher, postage, incentives, supplies, etc.

Offer early order discounts to promote early ordering.

Increase the cost of the book if ordered after a certain date, to promote early ordering.

Offer discounts to families ordering more than one yearbook – this helps encourage families to buy for all students rather than one per family.

Use additional revenue to help offset the cost – such as fundraisers, business ads, personal ads, love lines, and personalization option.

Bottom line, keep it affordable and finish in the black!
